VeA Organization

The largest multi-make club in France

Vincennes en Anciennes ‘the first French multi-make association for old cars’

Formed in 1998, the association has more than 1 200 men and women members, who together account for a fleet of 3 000 vehicles.

The association’s administrators themselves are also active members of car clubs for specific types.

Without exception, the association gathers on the first Sunday of each month on the forecourt of the Château de Vincennes. and this location in Vincennes has been the venue for organised meetings for 30 years.

The Vincennes en Anciennes club organises the ‘ Traversées de Paris’ (a drive across Paris) in old vehicles, which results in more than 700 vehicles being in the capital together including cars, motorcycles, military vehicles, commercial vehicles, tractors and bicycles.

There are two ‘Traversées de Paris’ during the year, the first winter one was in January 2000, and the first summer one was in August 2007.

The association also produces an events calendar which has details of 30-odd meetings on average each year.

The association is really dynamic, participating in many events or parades, for example heritage days, association days and telethons, and we work together with towns and local associations such as the Lions, Rotary etc at Chelles, Meudon, Paris, Vincennes etc, as well as participating in shows or events dedicated to historic vehicles eg; Automédon, Classic Days, Chantilly Arts Elégance, Le Mans Classic, Goodwood Revival, Rétromobile show, Reims show etc.

The association functions through a team of volunteer members from the governing body, and through members who participate in some events.

The association’s office coordinates the management tasks, and the organisation of meetings with the members.

The association’s governing body consists of:

Thierry Briet – President
Michel Lemoine – Honorary President
Patrick Gomez – Vice President
Jacques d’Andréa – Vice President
Marie-Pierre Briet – Treasurer
Yves Moreau – Secretary
Bruno Simoes – Logistics Manager

With the assistance of other members, this is a highly enthusiastic team which puts in a lot of effort to create amicable events with other enthusiasts. Despite its importance, Vincennes en Anciennes remains a non-profit association (Law 1901) for leisure and enthusiast purposes, aimed at bringing together fans of vintage vehicles and promoting heritage and trades, including the men and women who work in this field.
